2205 Duplex Stainless Steel:
2205 Duplex Stainless Steel is the most popular of Duplex grades of Stainless Steel. 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Plate and Sheet is also a combination of Austenitic and Ferritic Steels. 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Plate and Sheet has good workability and excellent impact toughness. Similar to LDX 2101, 2205+2 has high resistance to corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion fatigue. 2205+2 also has high strength, lower thermal expansion compared to other Stainless Steel, and is easily weldable.
2507 Super Duplex Stainless Steel:
Designed for the most stringent, demanding applications, 2507 Super Duplex Stainless Steel Plates and Sheets are known for its very high corrosion resistance and its tremendous strength. Specifically, this alloy has a very high resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, and a high resistance to pitting, crevice, and general corrosion. 2507 Super Duplex Stainless Steel Sheet and Plate gains these properties from additional levels of Chromium, Molybdenum, and Nitrogen. This alloy is extremely tough, with high tensile and impact strength combined with a low coefficient of thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity.
